Through contemporary figurative painting and drawing I open up a dialogue with historical artworks and the myths, stories and archetypes that permeate art history.
My personal experience as a lesbian woman shapes my interpretation of them and pose questions about who is allowed to decide on the perspectives of those stories and find themselves reflected within them.
One of my works will be shown at the museum of Schwäbisch Gmünd as part of an exhibition about LGBTI* themes throughout history!
